Amazingly he became successful in both of these goals, and he built a full-service advertising agency, a film production company, is a restaurant owner and even formed a children’s book company.
Steven is back in the industry of making movies and has returned to the Kickboxer franchise for the remake of the 1989 classic, titled Kickboxer: Vengeance, starring Dave Bautista and Jean-Claude Van Damme. He is not only an actor in the film but also an executive producer. Kickboxer 2 has already been announced and is in preproduction.
Steven Swadling’s success has led him to recently star in Bayard Johnson’s “Man in a Cage”, a film adaptation of the novel Damned Right. In the movie, which is a political thriller the government has lost power. Before the start of this extraordinary film the dictator was killed and dragged through the streets. During the action movie a prison warden and his employees, fight to the end as the revolutionary army arrives. Audiences all over the country would love to see this kind of film. The idea of a dictator having fallen from power and his regime being taken down applies perfectly to the twenty first century.
The most intriguing aspect of the film is that the viewer is hooked in and kept on the edges of his seat wondering what will happen next. Nobody knows if the warden and his staff will survive or die just like the horrible brute that they had in power. Most importantly, Steven’s study of the Stanislavski and Meissner Techniques has shaped him into the talented actor that he is today by crafting a style of his own.
